Per diem in Nevada for FY2027 depends on the county and on the month. Clark County, listed as Las Vegas, caps lodging at $173 in January, February and March, $147 in September, October, November and December, and only $120 from April to August, with $86 of M&IE every day. Washoe County (Incline Village, Reno and Sparks) pays $183 in June, July and August and $156 the rest of the year, with $80 of M&IE. Everywhere else in the state the standard $113 and $68 apply. Three nights in Las Vegas from February 8 to 11, 2027 are worth $820.00 at the federal maximum; the same trip from June 7 to 10, 2027 is worth $661.00, because only the room cap changed. The calculator above starts on Las Vegas and prices each night at the rate of its own month.
Clark and Washoe peak in opposite halves of the year
Nevada's two lines do not share a calendar. The Las Vegas cap tops out at $173 in January, February and March and bottoms out in April, May, June, July and August, precisely the months when the Washoe County cap climbs to $183. A consultant who splits a contract between the two cities can therefore see the cheaper city change sides during the fiscal year: in February, Reno costs $17 less a night than Las Vegas; in July, Las Vegas costs $63 less than Reno.
A Las Vegas summer close to the floor
The low Clark County value of $120 is just $7 above the national standard of $113. It also fell compared with FY2026, when the lowest month paid $126, while the top month rose from $159 to $173. In other words, GSA stretched the gap between the dear and the cheap months. The meal allowance did not follow: Clark County stays on the $86 tier all year, one step above Washoe's $80.
Washoe County, steadier at the bottom
The Incline Village, Reno and Sparks line moved the other way. Its lowest monthly cap went from $138 to $156, while its summer top barely moved ($184 last year, $183 now). A booking in the off months is now paid noticeably better than a year ago.

Carson City and the open counties
The capital has no line. Of the 10 Nevada places above 15,000 residents in the Census file, 3 sit outside Clark and Washoe and take the standard rate: Carson City, Fernley and Elko. A stay there is reimbursed at $113 and $68, with $51.00 on the first and last day.
What a gallon costs on Nevada roads
EIA does not survey Nevada on its own; its nearest series is West Coast (PADD 5) Except California, where regular gasoline averaged $5.116 in the week of October 5, 2026, $0.762 above the U.S. figure of $4.354. The IRS mileage rate does not adjust for that, so each mile driven in Nevada eats a larger slice of the 76 cents than it would at the national price. Test your own mileage below, or use the road trip calculator for a multi-day route.
