Florida per diem for FY2027 tops out in Key West (Monroe County), where lodging is capped at $452 a night in February, March and April and never falls below $267, with $86 of M&IE. Of the 22 Florida areas, 18 reach their peak in winter or early spring, while 4 in the western Panhandle peak in June or July instead. Miami-Dade County is the one area on the $92 tier. Duval County, home to Jacksonville, has no listing and pays the standard $113 and $68. The rates apply from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027. Three nights from March 8, 2027 cost $1,657 at the federal maximum in Key West, $727 in Panama City and $577 in Jacksonville. Panama City catches up in June, at $865 for three nights from June 14. The calculator starts on Key West.
The Panhandle runs on a summer clock
Fort Walton Beach / De Funiak Springs (Okaloosa / Walton), Gulf Breeze (Santa Rosa), Panama City (Bay) and Pensacola (Escambia) all hit their highest cap in June and July, and their lowest in the cool months. That is the reverse of most of the state, where areas such as Key West, Naples, Boca Raton / Delray Beach / Jupiter, Vero Beach and Miami peak in late winter and drop by May. Panama City shows the pattern clearly: $115 through February, $149 from March to May, $195 in June and July. A company sending staff to Pensacola and to Naples in the same July meets two very different maxima: $188 against $170.

Key West's floor beats most ceilings
Even in its quietest months (May, June, July, August and September) Monroe County allows $267. Only 2 other Florida areas ever reach that figure in any month. The peak climbs in two steps, $383 in December and January, then $452 in February, March and April. Since FY2026 the top rose $16.
Biggest moves and the ones that stood still
Martin County (Stuart) gained the most at the bottom of its range: its off-season cap went from $129 to $154. By contrast Vero Beach, Sarasota and Tallahassee kept exactly the FY2026 figures. Every Florida area changes with the month, without exception. Orlando (Orange County) runs from $145 to $178, peaking in January, February and March.
Big Florida cities with no listing
The Census file has Jacksonville as the most populous place in Florida, and Duval County has no GSA area. The same goes for Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce (St. Lucie County), Gainesville (Alachua), Lakeland (Polk), Ocala (Marion) and Kissimmee (Osceola). Kissimmee is the sharpest case: Orlando in Orange County is listed, Osceola County is not, so a hotel in Osceola County is capped at $113 instead of up to $178. Check the ZIP code before booking.
Florida is one of the states EIA prices on its own: regular gasoline averaged $3.970 a gallon in the week of October 5, 2026, $0.384 under the U.S. average. The road trip calculator uses it for a Miami to Pensacola run, and the travel-day rule pays $64.50 of M&IE on arrival in Key West.
